Intrathecal Baclofen for Bed Bound Patient

This 27 year old woman sustained a spinal cord injury 1-year ago, and is bed bound, with severe lower extremity spasticity causing pain, poor positioning and difficulty with hygiene.

Normalizing muscle tone with intrathecal baclofen may not improve function, but it alleviates pain, allows for better positioning and hygiene, and improves quality of life.
